2009 FOREFATHERS DAY DINNER |
| Forefathers Day, December 21, is the
anniversary of the day the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth. The Pilgrim
Society has been celebrating Forefathers Day since 1820, when our
honored guest and speaker was Daniel Webster. This year's celebration will once again be memorable - the honored orator will be Deval Patrick, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Our dinner, sponsored by the Radisson Plymouth Harbor Hotel and Lougee Insurance Agency of Duxbury, will be held at the Radisson Plymouth Harbor Hotel. Seating is by prepaid early registration only. The evening will begin with a reception at 5:30 pm with a cash bar and (free) succotash. Dinner will begin promptly at 6:30, followed by remarks by Governor Patrick. The cost of the dinner is $60 for members of the Pilgrim Society and $70 for members of the public. Seating will be assigned by table, on a first-come first-reserved basis. If you would like to attend Forefathers Day, please fill out the following form (click HERE for the form) and send it to Pilgrim Hall Museum, 75 Court Street, Plymouth, MA 02360. Reservations MUST be received by December 11. Intrigued by Forefathers Day? Click HERE for "Thanksgiving belongs to America but Forefathers Day is ours alone" by Richmond Talbot. |
